There’s always a day in sports that makes history... In Cleveland it’s always draft day!!! A Dawgs Day where real fans go nuts for a name to be called in hope of reaching the promised land of championship excellence!!!. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked in the Browns favor since their return from the late 90’s move to Baltimore but there’s hope of a new day in history where the DawgPound can say with pride “Yep the front office got it right!!!” That all starts with the 1st and 4th Pick in the 2018 Draft happening today on Thursday April 26th!!! So who will they pick? In a cloud of dust I’d go with Barkley and Chubb respectively and use some of those trade assets to move up to get Lamar Jackson... The Philadelphia Eagles proved the run pass option is the future and if Nick Foles can do it I'm sure Lamar Jackson can. Why else would Tyrod Taylor be brought to CLE? Cleveland GM John Dorsey saw it (along with the rest of us football brainiacs) and the bulb went on 💡💡💡...Then look at Deshawn Watson last year. The threat of run with an accurate QB is the future... Having said it’s highly doubtful it will happen but that's my wish-list. Here’s some points that make the thought fun though. Barkley in Todd Haley's offense. Can you say Le'Veon Bell #2. Chubb vastly improves that defense and the combination of Chubb and Garrett would wreck this league ( not in the same sense as J.Football but you get my drift 😂🤣💯) And Jackson learning as Clipboard Kid for 1-2 seasons will provide more foundation and perhaps the ability to be the future QB of the Cleveland Browns. I think that's the plan. Would definitely be mine if I were GM but just not sure they can pull it off though. The 2nd and 3rd picks I don't believe will leave either Chubb or Barkley at 4 but we’ll see what happens and let’s hope it’s truly “A DAWGS DAY!!! GO BROWNS!!!
